We are so lucky not to be living in those times! We should be grateful!

Oh I know why. Sorry for the question. Rico. I agree with you Ms K and Rico.

    World War 2:
In Year 6 so far I have learnt about evacuations. It is when kids and pregnant women go to the country for safety against the Germans. I also found out that Adolf Hitler (Leader of Germany) had started WW2 by attacking Poland, he did this for the country but as Britain didn’t give them Poland bombs were fire at the opposing side and we had to fight for our lives. What a six years they had. 1939 was when this battle started and it all ended in 1945 once Japan gave up. Hitler caused suicide because he was not able to win so luckily we won. The whole six years were for nothing we won – Britain won so hopefully, because of this no one will start a fight because of a silly argument.
    (Couldn’t do it on J2E5 – didn’t work)

    This is so sad

  7. Jenny says:

I’m so thankful I wasn’t alive during any of the world wars! I have such great sympathy for those who had to live through this.

  8. Elsie says:

    Me too.

  9. Sophias mum says:

Sophia’s great grand dads both served in World War 2. One in the Royal Marines and the other in REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers). Both served in different aspects of the war. One was part of the Convoy Protection in the North Atlantic and the other was at Dunkirk. This was known as a ‘Hell Hole’ with horrifying sites. In fact, Sophia has interviewed family members, looked over photographs and some old film footage on you tube and plans to bring in what she has found out.

    • Sophia says:

Yeah I’m going to bring in some photos. Also, I found out that our house was built in the 1920’s and mum showed me where the German bombs landed on our street and I couldn’t believe we have a war bunker in our garden. :0(isn’t that something to be proud of ) 😀

    • Jason F says:

Wow Sophia and Sophia’s mum. That is excellent. Can’t wait to see what she brings in!
