Dear all pupils in Wolves ,I look forward to reading your writing every week and really enjoyed all the letters of support and encouragement . All the tips are fantastic especially the Fixed & Growth Mindset in the letter to Tia. 3. YoussefH says:

My brother Younnes told me that I might have been the top student in Sumdog. Mr French was so curious! If I win, I would like a 15 pounds voucher from WHSmith.

  4. Glen says:

Rico, someone wrote you a letter and it is amazing! I like how the person ended the letter mysteriously it brought some suspense to the letter. The letter that was written to you was inspiring if it was me I would be inspired if it was me . Keep it up

  5. Younnes says:

Oliver was given a very touching letter. It really helped Oliver! Who wrote to Oliver? The person that wrote a letter to Oliver could improve by adding personal experiences. Good work! 😉

  6. Harry says:

Thank you.Kalo your advice really helped me in my SATs test.I hope you do good in your tests.

  7. Edward says:

Well done wolves, it’s nice seeing us encouraging each other to do well in a quite stressful week. I could really see everyone taking this on board which made it less stressful. Most of you guys said you are a very clever boy/girl at the end of the letter but isn’t that a fixed mindset? Other than that the letters were very nice and very cool to give to each other. Again, well done.

  8. Elsie says:

Edward the letter that you received before the SATs was outstanding! At the beggining I loved when you made a mistake then above you put ‘soz about spelling mistake’ I really liked when you put ‘do you think teachers are right to stress you out?’ That part makes me think you read some slogans to get that brilliant idea do you? To make this even better you could put more of your experienced thoughts but I am going to leave that up to you how you do that!!

  9. Peggy says:

Well done – it really helped me get through the sats. Nice, positive and helpful text. Hope everyone in year 6 did well in their sats!

  10. Abdul says:

Thank you whoever wrote the letter to me.It really help me get through the paper quick and careful.(Also like your personality).I liked the fact that you took Mr French tips and put it into your words. Thank you

  11. Peggy says:

Well done – really positive and helpful vocabulary. Hope everyone has done well in sats. It’s a relief sats are over!

  12. REEKXS says:

Edward I really liked the letter you wrote . You put a lot of detail in it and your handwriting makes it better. If I was that person I would feel inspired and Im sure you would as well. To improve in your writing you can put even more detail.

    • Edward says:

Thanks for the constructive critismn Rico, I will now take this on board and use it to improve my writing.

  13. Jack says:

I love all of the work everyone did it touch my heart.

  14. Michaela says:

Wow Sophia! That is an amazing and kind letter to write. I liked the way you wrote “Test are ok for me” then explained what to ignor from a teacher. The letter was great it made me think have you been reading lots of letters?
    Well done!:D

  15. Nathaniel says:

Maxxwell I really wish I received your letter. It was really structured clearly with the subheadings:stressed and nervous. Why did you decide to use the headings instead of writing a sentence? You made a few silly mistakes:capital t on today. To extend your writing skills you could try to include more personal experiences. Overall it was good.

  16. Younnes says:

The person who wrote to Jonan really helped him! If I was Jonan I would be really happy from this letter! What is your best personal experiences? You could include mistakes and show how you solved the problem. Well done everyone!

  17. Kalo says:

I love your writing Nathan you have made me believe in my self

  18. Glen says:

Maxxwell you were given a letter by an anonymous person I have read it and it’s so good I can imagine how you felt when you read this letter and the anonymous person that wrote this letter , keep it up!!

  19. Jonan says:

Whoever wrote to Oliver I liked how you were being encouraging by saying “I believe in you” “Believe in yourself”. But when you said “You’re amazing” you’re giving Oliver a fixed mindset.

  20. Oliver says:

The person who wrote Edward’s letter well done to them. I really enjoyed their piece of writing. In the letter the writer really shows that they are going through the same experiences as other people in the class. In your first plan did include bullet points ? To make your work even I would make sure that letters ,in my words, would be the same size as the other letters so it does not look like you are putting in random capital letters.

  21. Jack says:

I like Oliver your writing it was use for to me for my SATs I didn’t like I love it.
How did get this writing so good for everyone?
You shoud be big write of the week it is amazing for one boy

  22. REEKXS says:

Riyad someone wrote you a letter it’s good and very helpful. I hope everyone did well in their SATs. KEEP IT UP WOLVES 🙂

  23. Youssef says:

Thank you Katie for the letter, I was persuaded by it before SATS to keep calm.

  24. Maxxwell says:

Well done yr6 you should be really proud of yourself.

  25. Kalo says:

    Thank you maxxwell

  26. Edward says:

    I also agree.

  27. Younnes says:

The person who wrote to Riyad had really helpful tips! It really made the letter more effective for Riyad. What other tips could you add to the letter? To improve you could include personal experiences to make the letter more interesting. Well done! 😉

  28. Edward says:

I like the way everyone had great use of growth mindset. This is what starts the seed of perseverance (our value this month). Keep treating each other like this and we’ll all have a brilliant future. Keep calm and carry on. 😀

  29. Younnes says:

We can’t say who should be writer of the week because we don’t know who wrote to who. This is very complicating Mr French how do we know who the writer of the week should be. ;(

  30. Youssef says:

Well done Y6, the letters are very encouraging. Keep it up!

  31. Glen says:

We’ll done to the person who wrote to Oliver! What I especially liked about the letter was the quote ‘tests come and go’ it was amazing! I can tell that it helped you keep calm and relaxed. Keep it up! 🙂

  32. Oliver says:

We’ll done Sophia. I really liked your letter to Kalo. You especially made your letter very personal on how you shared your techniques with Kalo and also your feelings during tests. I really liked that. In your draft did you originally plan to write more than four techniques? To make your writing even better I would make sure that my k’s wouldn’t look like a capital letter. So try to write them smaller or in different way. 🙂

  33. Edward says:

The letter to Oliver was very extraordinary and determination seeking. Keep it up!

  34. Edward says:

Well done Year 6, the structure and layout of your writing was brilliant. Link back to when the sentence types were out of your reach and your writing wasn’t as good. Now link it to the amazing big write you’ve done recently and straight away you should see the phinominal impact it has made on your work.
Except for the sentence types what else (that Mr French has taught us) has improve our writing (applies to everyone)? The main point is: astonishing work.

  35. Joshy says:

Well done Leonor. I liked the way you used the top tips because you maybe helped Maxxwell in his SATs and set him up for his future.:D

  36. yedidja says:

To the person who writ my letter, your writing is very impressive and from your past writing I can see you have been experimenting a lot with your writing.Do you like to write letters? The things you need to work on is how you drag the reader into piece. Of writing.

  37. To says:

    I appreciate the comment Maxxwell.

  38. :) says:
